Persimmon Homes has bought a former hospital to create a residential scheme in Greater Manchester.
Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has sold the 29-acre site, known as Birch Hill Hospital, for £20m and Persimmon has outline planning consent for a residential-led scheme.
Manchester-based Erinaceous, formerly known as Dunlop Haywards, advised on the sale of the site and works with the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and other NHS Trusts in the region.
