English Cities Fund has submitted a planning application for the regeneration of Millbay, the waterside area close to Plymouth.
The partnership between English Partnerships, Legal & General and Amec has today submitted an outline application for the development.
The application includes 1,233 residential units 185,210 sq ft (17,700 sq m) of retail and leisure space and 226,045 sq ft (21,000 sq m) of business space. It also includes two hotels and a marina with up to 107,640 sq ft (10,000 sq m) for marine related businesses.
The development of the first phase of the scheme is expected to complete in summer 2008.
