The Post Office, Co-op and Home Bargains have signed up to join discount supermarket chain Netto at Spennymoor, County Durham.

Netto is investing £3.5m in the development which will include 25,000 sq ft of retail space, with Netto to extend to 10,000 sq ft.

The Post Office has taken 1,299 sq ft on a 15 year lease, Co-op has signed up for 4,697sq ft on a 20 year lease and Home Bargains has signed up for 8,114 sq ft store on a 15 year leases.

Netto’s property director, William Smith, said: ‘We are delighted to sign up the Post Office, Co-op and Home Bargains to our development in Spennymoor.

'Each of the businesses provides an ideal complement to Netto and our customers in providing value for money and quality services to the people of Spennymoor and the surrounding area.’
