A Qatar-based property group backing London developer Christian Candy has won the auction for Chelsea Barracks. Financial Times.

The Project Blue (Guernsey) consortium, which includes Qatari Diar and CPC Group, the Guernsey-based investment vehicle of Christian Candy, bid around £600m.

They beat a rival consortium put together by Laing O'Rourke, which included Paddy Shovlin and Gerry Purcell, the Irish entrepreneurs.
