Regus, the world’s largest service office provider, has lost two of its top UK staff.

UK chief executive officer Nick Wood and Andrew Coombs, UK head of sales, have left the company with immediate effect.

A spokesman for Regus confirmed that the two men left the business ‘to pursue opportunities outside the group.’

Sources suggested that the departures were down to the significant room for improvement that global chiefs saw in the UK business. Whilst Regus is successful in the UK market, it is thought that bosses want to see more dominance in the style of the US operation.

Mark Dixon, founder of Regus and global chief operating officer, will take on the role of UK chief executive, and Kurt Mroncz has been promoted from area director to head of sales at the group.
