Hammerson has secured four new restaurants at its £250m Union Square development in Aberdeen.

Ask, Nando’s, Chiquito’s, and Frankie & Benny’s are taking second units within the city on the upper floor of the retail centre which is due to open next autumn.

Ask has taken 3,450 sq ft, Chiquito’s has taken 4,065 sq ft, Frankie & Benny’s has taken a 4,680 sq ft unit and Nandos’ has taken a 3,500 sq ft restaurant situated on the other side of the mall.

A total of 12 restaurants will open at the scheme joined by a 203-bed Jurys Inns hotel and a Cine UK.

The scheme will include 56 retail units including Next, Arcadia and New Look.

Sheila King, head of retail leasing at Hammerson, said: ‘Aberdeen currently lacks a defined leisure quarter within the city centre. We are confident we can create an exciting evening destination at Union Square.’
