Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has sold 5-7 Golden Square in London’s West End for £16.5m at a yield of 7.5% to a private Middle Easter investor.

The 26,000 sq ft building was developed in 1996 and is let to WCRS, part of the Engine Group. The lease expires in January 2012 and the tenant is not in occupation and has sublet two floors in the building

Strutt & Parker advised the vendor. The investor was advised by BNP Paribas Real Estate.All parties declined to comment.
