Segro has attracted two new occupiers to its Bilton Way industrial scheme in Luton.

The REIT has agreed deals totalling 7,000 sq ft with the UK arm of global solutions provider, Applied Tech Systems, and also Luton-based food company, Lajawab.

Applied Tech Systems has taken a 4,272 sq ft warehouse/production unit at Bilton Court on a ten-year lease, to meet the expansion needs of its Luton-based metrology equipment manufacturing division.

Local company, Lajawab, has also taken a 3,074 sq ft unit at Bilton Court on a six year lease.

Rishi Sidhu, senior leasing surveyor at Segro, said: ‘Segro’s flexible leasing approach has enabled these two occupiers to acquire premises to suit their business needs.

‘For Applied Tech Systems, the potential to increase office space at the unit, without losing room for growth in manufacturing capacity, were important factors in the decision to locate its metrology division at the scheme.’

The Bilton Way estate, which has 49 units totalling 430,000 sq ft, is located just over one and a half miles from junction 11 of the M1.
