Paul Cross, managing director of Simons Developments, is to leave the company in the new year after nearly four years at the helm.

Cross leaves Simons at the end of December, when director Philip Hodgkinson will act as managing director of developments until a replacement is found.

Cross is leaving to pursue other interests.

He led a number of development and investment decisions at Simons including joint venture developments with modus Properties in Wakefield and with Resolution Properties in Truro and Dorchester.

Paul Hodgkinson, chairman and chief executive, Simons Group said: ‘Paul has done an excellent job over the last four years, and the developments business is in good shape. We will miss him and wish him every success in the next phase of his career.’
