Legal & General Capital has made a duo of key hires for its housebuilding arm, Legal & General Homes, including recruiting finance director Chris Sly from Berkeley Homes.
Sly brings extensive experience in the sector having acted as head of finance for the FTSE 100 housebuilder leading on its demerger from St James Group. Prior to joining Berkeley, Sly was senior finance manager at BT Openreach, commercial finance manager at E.ON and spent six years as non-executive director of housing association Bromsgrove Housing Initiatives.
He joins as L&G has re-affirmed its ambitions to deliver more than 80,000 properties over the next five to ten years. With three sites across Berkshire and Oxfordshire, Legal & General Homes now has a pipeline of over 3,000 new units.
