Transport comment: Metrolink to revolutionise travel
The extension itself will provide three extra arterial routes linking Oldham/Rochdale, Manchester Airport and Ashton-under-Lyme directly to the city centre. The system will carry an estimated 45 million passengers a year, with a possible fourth extension to be tendered with the other three routes.
