Uniqlo returns to the North West with Manchester store

Arndale

Uniqlo is returning to North West 15 years after profit struggles triggered the closure of its stores in the region.

The Japanese fashion retailer has signed a 15-year lease for a 21,000 sq ft unit in Manchester’s Arndale Centre, which is owned by M&G Real Estate and Intu.

Uniqlo used to operate two stores in Greater Manchester, on Market Street and in the West One shopping centre in Eccles, but shut them both in 2003.
