As the industrial and logistics sector boom looks likely to continue beyond 2021, the expectations of occupiers are evolving.
Once content with a simple warehouse with enough space for pallet racking, the occupiers of tomorrow are demanding spaces with a sense of place and conscience. These spaces have been built to higher standards and not only factor sustainability into their design but are also sensitive to local community along with prioritising wellbeing.
This is something which the sector will need to adapt to if it is to continue developing assets which tenants will flock to.
