Wells REIT snaps up DC building

Wells Real Estate Investment Trust is poised to buy the two-building Market Square complex in Washington DC from Beacon Capital Partners for $615m. The 679,000 sq ft offices, at 701 and 801 Pennsylvania Avenue, are expected to be sold next week.
