He is the latest in a range of high profile hires by BidX1 and brings with him 17 years’ sector experience. Oliver Childs, former head of auctions at Lambert Smith Hampton, as well as four other auctioneers and directors, joined BidX1 at the end of last year to head up the commercial arm of the business.

Watson began his career at Allsop in 2001, qualifying as a chartered surveyor in 2003 and worked within the commercial auction department for five years before moving into the residential sector.
