Savills Walking Marathon

Savills’ London development land team has raised £26,000 for charity British-Ukrainian Aid by walking a marathon across London.

The team took 11 hours to walk the 26.2 miles in aid of the charity that supports those suffering from the war and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

The 13-strong team set out at 7am from Savills’ London head office and their route took in the firm’s residential offices at St John’s Wood, Hampstead, Islington, Hackney Wick, Canary Wharf, Westminster, Chelsea and Sloane Street.

Darren Arnold, Savills London development land director, said: “It was great to take on a challenge to raise funds for the crisis in Ukraine, as well as getting to visit Savills colleagues across London.

Tim Whitmey, central London residential development director at Savills, added: “We set a target of £25,000 and have now raised our fundraising goal to £30,000.”

Property Eye asked if the team would consider trekking up to Savills’ Edinburgh office for its next charity walk…
