A team of 50 cyclists from Argent and Related Argent raced their way to Paris this week, raising more than £350,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The team began the 400km bike ride in London in support of the charity, which supports The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

Hoping to up the total target to £400,000, a second team of fundraisers will set out on a 21-mile march from Lewes to Eastbourne next month.

Research has suggested that as many as one in two people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, with only 50% currently diagnosed at an early stage, when treatment is most effective.

The money raised will help provide new diagnostic technology, boost The Royal Marsden’s patient capacity, speed up diagnosis times and minimise the impact of diagnoses on patients.

Nick Searl, joint managing partner at Argent and partner at Related Argent, said the cause was “very close to our hearts” and the firm was grateful to those who had already donated.
