PPG Land and the Warmfield Group have submitted a planning application for 2m sq ft of sheds in South Yorkshire.

The companies plans to develop the Bradholme Employment Park, south of Thorne, Doncaster, at the 200-acre site.

The proposals include 2.05m sq ft of distribution facilities across two buildings near to the M18 and A180.

The company envisages more buildings could be developed at the site in line with the areas Local Development Framework.

If successful the development would effectively double the amount of office and business space PPG Land has developed since it was formed in 1990.

The planning application has been submitted following public consultation in April 2006 and November 2007.

Following the first public consultation some of the heights were reduced by 50%.
