A more stable political and economic environment would help increase the investment required to meet the significant need for new housing.
We expect continued and growing demand for development finance and generally will seek to write loans where the fundamentals work.
Regardless of the political or economic climate, there is a requirement for new homes, and we’ll work with developers to meet this demand.
Resolution: 2018 was an exciting and busy year for Fortwell Capital, following the MBO of the business and Cain International providing £400m of investment capital. The focus in 2019 will very much be on deploying that capital. We’re looking forward to growing our loan book and helping to realise high-quality residential schemes.
